Grandest Large Antique English Jewelry Box with Four Original Perfume Bottles C.1890

Description

About as grand as they come in this format of Jewellery box. Late Victorian and made from Walnut, this magnificent example dates to around 1890.

The front has two original bevelled glass doors and the domed lid is mounted with a highly decorative engraved cartouche.

Once the lid is opened, the completely original interior is revealed with a bevelled mirror inside the lid. The fitted jewellery tray and all the drawers retain the original velvet and silk fabric.

What makes this one even more exceptional is that there are four original cut crystal scent bottles that sit at the back of the box, all in lovely condition.

A fabulous find, in superb condition; measuring 11" x 8 3/4" x 10 1/2" tall.
