Early Victorian Mahogany Tea Caddy

19th century
Description

Circa 1840, early Victorian mahogany sarcophagus shaped tea caddy. The chamfered top opens to reveal the interior with 2 divisions which have lift off mahogany lids with small ebonised bun handles. On the front is a small bone heraldic shaped escutcheon and at the bottom is a small beading.

Size 15cm high x 25cm wide x 13cm deep.
