Description

As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this fine quality Japanese lacquer box on its original stand , the lid of the box itself is decorated with a pair of phoenix or ho-ho birds on a ground of crysanthemums and tendrils , the sides and tray base bear similar designs and motifs, the interior and base is a rich nashiji gold lacquer ground , the rims to the box and cover are silver , the tray stands on four bracket feet .

The condition of the lacquer is lovely with minimal wear , there is a small chip to the inner lip and a slight nick to a corner of the tray ,this is being really critical and only pointed out for total accuracy, it is a large and fantastic quality box for your collection !
