The top features and English Castle, the front looks more of a continental scene (such as Italy) with a walled town, and the back has a wonderful Marine scene.
All sides have roundels amongst the riot of decoration, one with a bird, one with a dog, one with a rabbit and various other classical vignettes.
The interior has been professionally refitted and re-lined, making it a very usable box with a clean, fresh interior.
Complete with a working key, the jewelry box remains in excellent condition with minor wear commensurate with age. 11" x 8 7/8" x 4".
