Description

This is the second of two superb Regency tortoiseshell and ivory tea caddies that we are listing today , this fine bow fronted example stands on four ivory pill feet and bears its original lining beneath including the retailers label,the shell sections are banded with fine silver wire, there is a further silver escutchion and plain cartouche to the lid , the interior houses two lidded compartments each lid fitted with ivory knobs and the interior further decorated with ivory borders and blue velvet lining.

The condition again is quite superb for this type of caddy , the interior right hand lid has been split and repaired , but to be honest you would struggle to find better condition caddies on the market unless they have been fully restored at huge cost !! dont miss them for your tea caddy collection.
