Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1860s.
The edges are cross-banded in Tulipwood and the box front and top inlaid with fine quality geometric Tunbridge inlay.

The front has a Mother of Pearl escutcheon framed in more inlay with a matching cartouche to the centre of the lid.
The lid is opened to reveal two lidded compartments, one for Green Tea and one for Black Tea.
Excellent condition with a good bright patina. 7" x 4 1/4" x 4 1/2" tall. Complete with a working tasselled key.
