Quiet Street Antiques of Bath has dated this piece to the 1890s.
To either side are hallmarked cast silver handles, whilst the escutcheon and four bun feet are all also of hallmarked silver.
The lid opens to reveal the matching inner lid, and the original silver foil lining is still intact. A delightful tea caddy. All silver hallmarked for Chester 1895.
