Fine Italian Pietra Dura Inlaid Ebony Jewel Box

Description

FINE QUALITY mid 19th century Italian PIETRA DURA inlaid solid ebony jewel or possible cigar box. Nicely moulded sides which are solid ebony, original small turned feet and pietra dura top. The pietra dura marble top is in the design of a rose and foliage.

Original lock.

Condition is very good except for a small blemish to the black marble, a small piece has come out at some time and been put back in but it is original.

SIZE; 9 1/2" by 7" by 3 1/2" high
