Decanter Box Tantalus George III Mahogany C1800

Here we have a wonderful and original George III Mahogany decanter box c1800. As you can see the box has excellent colour and patina. There is chequered stringing to the top front and bothsides. The box retains the original brass gilded swan neck handles which are exquisite. The box also retains an original lock key and escutcheon. Inside the box are the original 6 decanters of beautiful quality with fan stoppers and gilded decoration to the tops. The box also has its original cut crystal glasses which are stunning. The bowls have beautiful gilding on faceted sides and cut and feceted stems. The decanters fit snugly into there compartments. There is one small chip to one neck flange but apart from that minor detail they are perfect. This would make an excellent box for the Whisky collector or liquers. A rare and complete period decanter box in lovely retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 9x9x8 inches.
