Japanese Makie Lacquered Box and Cover Silver Handles Meiji Period

Description

As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to be able to offer this fine quality and quite superb condition Japanese lacquer lidded box decorated throughout in superb makie(gold lacquer), the hexagonal lid lifts of to reveal a finely decorated interior with a very nice signature inside the lid, the lid houses side cut outs which sit neatly over decorative silver side ring handles.

The condition is absolutely superb throughout and without a doubt would enhance any serious Japanese collection !!
