Superb Quality Japanese Cloisonne Silver Wired Lidded Box

1900 - 1920
Description

As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this great quality Japanese cloisonne lidded box with cover from the late Meiji period .

This super box is finished in a simple plain greyish ground on silver coloured rims , the subject matter being a wading bird in silver and gold wire amongst wireless enamel reeds and foliage .

The inner linings are original , the condition is superb with no damage or losses , minor wear on the underside commensurate with use , it is lovely !
