Stunning Japanese Gold and Silver Onlaid Snuff Box Meiji Period

Description

As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to be able to bring this super little Japanese pill or snuff box to the market , standing on four silver feet the lid decorated with onlaid gold and silver in the design of a boat on a lake with mt Fuji in the distance, this really is a cracker , silver lined and silver piano hinge contrast the black exterior perfectly , the underside is nicely signed, although we have not yet had time to trace the maker he was clearly working at the top level .

The condition is simply gorgeous , one tiny pimple and minimal wear commensurate with age and use ,make this a must for serious Japanese metal collectors !!
