Georgian Mahogany & Rosewood Banded Tea Caddy

19th century
Description

Pretty George III mahogany and inlaid tea caddy. All sides inlaid with a fancy boxwood and ebony line, then cross banded in rosewood with a boxwood line to the outer edge. Original ivory shield shape escution and original brass lock.

Inside it retains its original mahogany lids and the inside of the lid in veneered with birds eye maple.

Good original condition apart from it possibly had some sort of brass feet.

Lovely colour.

SIZE; 10" long by 5 1/2" wide by 5" high
