Stunning Chinese Silver Inlaid Hardwood Scholars Box Signed (Tien Shing)

Description

We are delighted to be able to offer this superb quality and condition Chinese hardwood scholars box inlaid on all sides with solid silver three claw dragons , the lid has a three claw dragon chasing a pearl which is centralised as a vacant cartouche , the lid further decorated with a silver banding, the box standing on silver claw and ball feet , the underside of this great box bears the signature of Chinese silversmith Tien Shing (third quarter 19th century) in a silver seal .

The Condition is superb with only some plate wear on the hinges and catch to talk about .
