Rowney Artists Watercolour Paint Box

Description

We are pleased to offer this charming antique watercolour paint box originally supplied by G. Rowney & Co. (Artists' Colormen) of 52, Rathbone Place and 29, Oxford Street, London.

This is a lovely mahogany artist's box with inset brass handle and drawer with peg locking device. It contains paints, charcoal sticks and porcelain palettes with Rowney & Co. stamps. Also with working key.

It measures approx. 8"x 9"x 3."

This charming old box dates from about 1875 and is in very good condition.
