It was listed by Puckerings. Sold pieces stay on Sellingantiques as a record of what has passed through, and the next one is rarely far away.
Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1860s.

Completely bound in polished brass, there are flush campaign style brass handles to the side. The top is inset with a shaped brass plaque with the original owners initials engraved, GSB.
The interior of the drawers is lined in Cedar wood which is what kept cigars fresh; this is not officially a Humidor as these are modern inventions to regulate the humidity within; it is the Cedar lining that did this job well over 100 years ago. The dividers can moved to customise the compartment sizes depending on the type of cigar one wishes to store.

Complete with a working key (the lid needs a little squeeze or push for the lock to catch), this gem comes in excellent condition with a bright polished patina. 12 1/2" x 10 1/2" x 4".
