Russian Hand Painted Lacquered Box

Description

A beautifully hand painted jewellery box measuring 6 inches X 4 inches.

The scene on the top depicts what appears to be Russian Fishermen in a rural setting.

The decorated lid is in perfect condition with two signatures at the bottom of each corner.

The quality of the painting of this box is quite superb , the box itself is very plain with a red lacquered interior with a gilded leaf garland along the bottom edge.
