A superb quality Victorian jewellery box made in wood covered with leather and with the original burgundy velvet lined interior. The box is covered in a dark green Moroccan leather which has been decoratively fluted and enhanced with gilded stringing. The domed top is fitted with the original brass carying handle and the box is fitted with a bramah lock, the finest london made lock. The interior is completely original and contains two removable trays for jewels each fitted with compartments and all velvet lined. This box is of the finest quality and in pristine condition. C.1890.
