Description

An absolutely delightful little stationery box made from heavy bronze or brass and retaining it's original gilded finish.

The domed lid, front and back panels are then mounted with intricately engraved and gilded panels, quite stunning with scroll and floral motifs, all attached by a quality screwed construction.

The interior (unfortunately no key) also retains it's original fittings and blue silk tafeta lining to the lid interior.

Victorian in era, dating to around 1860, the box remains in excellent condition. 7 1/2" wide x 4" deep x 3 3/4" tall.
