The box has two flush brass campaign style handles to the sides.
The creamy coloured inlay against the rich wood creates a magical combination.

The box comes complete with a working tasseled key the brass lock is signed, E Turner. The original leather is intact with a fine quality gold embossed decoration. There are storage compartments under both flaps and an removable pen tray, brass topped inkwell and a sloped compartment for nibs etc., the other end.

A wonderful box in excellent condition, measuring 12" x 8 3/4" x 4 1/2" tall while closed. Dip pen and stationery for display purposes only.
