Description

A stunning and exceptional Jewellery box dating to around 1860, made from rich and warm coloured Burr Walnut decorated with grand large polished brass mounts.

The top is set with a large thick piece of bevelled glass, always very popular and harder and harder to come by.

The Jewellery compartments including the removable tray have been beautifully and professionally re-lined in a Burgundy velvet. Each side of the tray has a long ring compartment to accommodate numerous rings. The central circular section was originally for a pocket watch, today this could be used for a bracelet or wrist watch.

Showcase your gems in this top-notch Victorian vitrine, Excellent condition and a grand large size, measuring 10" x 7" x 6" tall. Complete with working tasselled key.
