The interior is ready to use with a replacement gold embossed leather, perfect for another 200 years of use, finished with two later brass and glass inkwells, completing the offering (letters & pen not included).
Both sides open with large storage spaces for papers, letters and stationery, the base having a fine shrinkage hairline which is usual and for this secondary timber.
A fabulous piece in excellent condition; measuring 16" x 10" x 5 1/2".
