There is a lidded compartment containing matches with a strike on the lid. Next to this is the travel inkwell with a lever at the front to release the lid revealing the glass ink chamber within.
Finally, the box even comes complete with the original writing instrument fitted on the inside of the lid. One end opens and a pen nip is revealed and the other end a propelling pencil.
Fabulous and in excellent condition, measuring 3 3/4" x 2 1/2" x 1 5/8".
