The top of the box is an absolute joy, with a glazed panel with an intricate floral needlepoint behind, again framed in a polished steel mount. There are two slots for correspondence, one labelled Repondues (Answered) and A Repondre (To be Answered). The interior retains it's original red paper lining with original covered central divider.
Complete with the original key, this gem is in excellent condition with some minor old age cracks to the lid, stable and insignificant. 7 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 4 1/2" tall.
