The top is inset with the five brass playing cards, the front with a shield-shaped escutcheon (alas no key).
The interior is trimmed in Coromandel and retains the original fitted compartments finished in Emerald green silk.

There is a beautiful original gilded cribbage board with the same Quatrefoil design matching the exterior. There are three card Delarue & Co. Bezique markers and three later packs of playing cards.
As good as they come in excellent condition. 10" x 6 3/4" x 3".
