The figuring is exceptional and clearly highly decorative.
The top is inlaid with a Boxwood Greek Key design and the box's smart shape, outlined by the Boxwood stringing inlay and edging.
The interior has been beautifully re-lined in a hand-marbelled paper, creating a clean finish ready for use. The sides have turned wooden handles (one of the rings with a couple of repaired breaks, insignificant but mentioned) and the working lock comes with a tasseled key. 10" x 8" x 5".
