Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1800s.
The lid lifts (with original velvet interior) to reveal a wonderful selection of bottles and a central medicine glass, all in very good condition, of course a few nibbles here and there which is always the case, this is in especially good shape.

The interior is lucky enough to retain the original glass mortar and pestle, both without damage. There is a small scale together with a handful of brass weights; a small medical clamp, a funnel to refill the bottles and a couple of other bits.

The box is in superb condition, inset with a brass escutcheon which houses the working taselled key.
7" x 6 1/4" x 7 1/2" tall.
