D and A Binder Ltd has dated this Antique Pine Locker Cabinet to the 1900s.

The fifteen compartments are arranged across three columns, with each door dropping forward . each compartment has a good amount storage space, and has simple retaining brass stays supporting the door when open. The cabinet is finished with a moulded cornice above and raised on a simple plinth base, echoing the practical yet well-made nature of this piece.

Constructed predominantly from solid pine, the cabinet has developed a wonderfully warm, honey-coloured patina through generations of use. The original brass locks have similarly aged, displaying a rich, naturally oxidised surface which sits beautifully against the timber.

Originally intended as practical individual storage, the cabinet would now make a great additional to a hallway or as a shoe locker, retail display cabinet, linen cupboard or general storage piece.
