Pretty French Circular Bedside Cabinet Inlaid Kingwood

1920 - 1940
Description

This is a pretty French inlaid cabinet with a most attractive and rare circular design dating from the early 20th century circa 1930.

The Kingwood veneers are nicely inlaid with a quattro panel to the top and lovely chequer banding in ebony and satinwood throughout the piece.

The cabinet has all its original gilt bronze ormolu mounts and handles and a practical and decorative freize to the circular top.

This is in excellent clean condition throughout with all 3 drawers running smoothly in the cabinet. The sides are decorated with framed chequer band panels with central ormolu mask and the piece is raised on elegant cabriole legs with bronze sabots.

This would make a fine side cabinet or lamp table in any room or indeed could be a very useful and decorative bedside cabinet.

It has lovely neat proportions measuring 75 cms high by 32 cms in diameter.
