THIS FINE 20 DRAWER COLLECTORS CABINET BY J.T.CROCKETT OF CAVENDISH SQUARE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AND HAS EXTRA DEEP DRAWERS CAPABLE OF RECEIVING CONTINENTAL PINS OF 40mm PLUS. ALL THE DRAWERS ARE LINED WITH WHITE PLASTAZOTE AND ARE READY TO USE FOR A MULTITUDE OF COLLECTING PURSUITS. ORIGINALLY DESIGNED FOR THE PROTECTION AND DISPLAY OF A COLLECTION OF BRITISH LEPIDOPTERA BUT NOW ABLE TO COMPLIMENT MANY OTHER TYPES OF COLLECTION. (DIVISIONS ARE COTTONS CONNECTED TO PINS WHICH CAN EASILY BE REMOVED).
J.T. CROCKETT OF CAVENDISH SQUARE MADE MANY DIFFERENT TYPES OF COLLECTORS CABINET IN THE 19TH AND EARLY 20TH CENTURY SUPPLYING NOT JUST PRIVATE INDIVIDUALS BUT MOST OF THE MAJOR MUSEUMS AND INSTITUTES IN GREAT BRITAIN.
THE TWENTY DRAWERS ARE OF SOLID WELL FIGURED MAHOGANY AND RUN ON HIDDEN BEARER RUNNERS. THEY ALL HAVE THE ORIGINAL CLOSELY FITTING GLAZED FRAME TOPS AND, AS MENTIONED, HAVE BEEN BASE LAYERED WITH CLEAN WHITE PLASTAZOTE.
