A good quality Georgian twin fusee wall clock by celebrated clockmaker James Murray of London. The mahogany case has brass sound frets to either sides, and the clock has a brass bezel with a 12 inch white painted dial which has Roman numerals and the makers name -

The movement is a five pillar, twin fusee on chains, with eight day duration, which strikes the hours on a bell.
 
The movement has been cleaned and serviced and comes with a 12 month guarantee.

James Murray was born in Scotland in 1780, he opened his business at Royal Exchange in London in 1815. He was a highly skilled watch, clock and chronometer maker, winning the top prize at the prestigious Greenwich trials in 1823 for his chronometer.
