Here we have a very rare Welsh Oak Gower peninsula bible or deed box c1720. As you can see the box has great colour and patina. There is a plank top with delicate scribe detailed decoration to the edges. The front is very well carved in that typical Gower style. There is also a single drawer below typically afforded to Welsh Oak coffer bachs. The drawer has hand cut half dovetails and a moulded front. A super period box in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 60 cm wide 40 cm deep 30 cm high.
