A beautiful late Victorian/Edwardian, mahogany inlaid table/mantel clock in all original condition throughout. The case retains it''s original French-polished finish with a nice, warm, rich patina. It has boxwood stringing framing burr walnut panels to the lower half of the case. The arched top has a brass carrying handle. To the sides are fretted, silk backed, sound panels. It has a shaped and stepped plinth base, finishing in brass ogee bracket feet.The 5'' (13cm) silvered dial has black engraved Roman numerals enclosed by a cast brass bezel with convex, bevelled glass.The 8 day movement, by ASTRAL CLOCK CO, COVENTRY, has just been fully serviced by our BHI registered horologist and carries our usual 12mths full parts and labour guarantee.
