A beautiful rare English Georgian antique solid sterling silver snuff box. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1808 with the maker being Cocks and Bettridge. It has been superbly designed and is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. The cartouche has been engraved with initials which look to be CS. The inside is gilded and clean. It measures approx. 2.25 inches (5.5cm) long by 1.25 inches (2.8cm) wide and weighs 27 grams. A very high quality example.
