Magnificent Mahogany/satinwood Secretaire Bookcase C1800

Description

Straight from a local country estate ,a magnificent country house mahogany and satinwood secretaire bookcase.

It is in absolutely untouched original condition and dates around 1800. No damage or repairs. It has stood in the same room since it was new .

Obviously made by a supreme cabinetmaker, there are no maker,s stamps but is the quality of a gillows of lancaster piece or an offshoot.

It measures in inches. 96inches h

50 inches w.and 23inches deep.

The pictures tell the story . It is in 3 pieces, base, bookcase and cornice.

This George III secretaire bookcase dates from around 1800 and is constructed in warm brown mahogany and satinwood with brass hardware.
