In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The interior has been lined with a pretty decorative paper and it has a fitted lift out tray with silk lidded compartments and bead knobs.
It is in very good condition for its age and has clearly been well looked after. There are some minor signs of age and use, some light surface marks and a few old repairs but nothing detrimental and overall the piece displays beautifully. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
