wonderful coromandel wood box desk / writing box. beautifully inlaid with mother of pearl floral wreath decorations, the lid opens to reveal fitted interior wth stationery compartments, pen rest with storage well below, inkwells and purple velvet writing slope. one inkwell with hidden release mechanism which, when activated, reveals three secret drawers.

this is an absolutley stunning writing box which is not done justice by the photographs.
