FAQs

Chinese porcelain has been traded globally for centuries, with many antique vessels later converted into electrified lamps during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries to suit Western interior tastes.

These items are crafted from high-fired ceramic clay finished with cobalt blue underglaze hand-painted decoration, typically fitted with metal hardware during later conversion.

Authentic pieces often exhibit characteristic glaze imperfections, hand-painted brushwork nuances, and age-related wear or crazing to the ceramic surface.

They serve as classical focal points on sideboards, consoles, or desks, pairing traditional hand-painted motifs with contemporary linen lampshade designs.

Dust gently with a dry, soft cloth and avoid chemical cleaning agents that may damage the historical glaze or hand-painted cobalt decoration.
