Description

A typically fine quality fitted DRESSING CASE/JEWELLERY BOX by this well-known and highly respected box-maker. The beautifully figured coromandel case is bound in brass with a vacant cartouche to the centre and with the iconic Lund narrow and wider brass line inlay. It opens to reveal the fitted interior with the set of eight silver-topped jars; boxes and scent bottles ~ all beautifully engraved and hallmarked for London 1845, arranged around the central tool-pad. Below is the particularly well-fitted velvet-lined jewellery section with a further void compartment below for costume jewellery. Fine concealed mirror to the lid and signed to a brass plaque to the back. 14ins x 10ins (35.5 x 25cms)
