Attractive Small (76.75in or 195cm high) Slim Oak Grandfather Clock in Good Clean Condition. Furthermore we understand that the 30 Hour Movement has been Regularly Serviced by it''s Last Custodians.
 
This Would Seem to Be The Case As Proved During Our Tests.
 
The Finely Engraved Brass Dial With Stylised Vine Pattern & Stripling Litchfield (Staffs). This is likely to be for Thomas Stripling (l) who was born at Barwell (Leicester) in 1707. Supposedly worked in Coventry (Warx) and then at Lichfield (Staffs) as Successor to John Hunt from 1761. Died 1775.
 
The Stripling Family Business Continued Though His Sons Thomas (ll) and William.
