S'. The top is edged in brass and the front of the box is hinged to open downwards. It comes with a working key.
It is in very good condition for its age and the interior is clean and tidy. There are a few small knocks and marks around the outside of the box and some small losses to areas of veneer around the base (see photos) but nothing detrimental and overall it displays well. It has been lightly cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
