Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

French Empire and Restoration period mantel clocks, produced during the early nineteenth century, are distinguished by classical proportions, sculptural structures, and elaborate decorative bronze work often featuring acanthus foliage or architectural motifs.

These timepieces typically feature cast bronze cases with dark patinated or gilded ormolu finishes, housing brass mechanical movements with chased gilt metal dial centres and Roman numerals.

Authentic pieces exhibit hand-chased metal detailing, heavy cast bronze construction, countwheel striking mechanisms, and maker marks or serial numbers stamped on the rear movement plate.

Position the piece as a focal point on a marble mantelpiece, dark wood sideboard, or library bookshelf to add depth and historical contrast to modern or traditional spaces.

Dust the surface regularly with a dry, soft microfiber cloth, avoiding liquid chemicals or abrasive polishes that can strip delicate historical gilding or original patination.
