Victorian glassware encompasses a wide range of decorative techniques, from elaborate wheel-engraving and acid-etching to vibrant colours, reflecting the industrial advancements and eclectic tastes of the 19th century.

These pieces were typically handcrafted from lead crystal or soda-lime glass, utilizing free-blowing, mould-blowing, and hand-cutting or engraving techniques by skilled artisans.

Authentic pieces often exhibit pontil marks on the base, minor irregularities consistent with hand-manufacturing, genuine age-related wear, and specific historical decorative motifs characteristic of the 19th century.

Antique stemware can be displayed in glass-fronted cabinets, used for special dining occasions, or styled on bar carts to add historical texture and refined elegance to contemporary settings.

Antique crystal requires gentle hand washing in lukewarm water with mild detergent, avoiding sudden temperature changes and harsh dishwashers to protect the delicate material and historical surface details.
