Early 19th century English mahogany artists watercolour box made by James Newman, 24 Soho Square, London

George IV Period retaining nearly all of its original contents

Solid mahogany box, the lid with ebony edged crossbanded flame mahogany panel.

Embossed leather view of and titled J.Newman's Manufactory

Paint blocks and most ceramics maker marked

The box in excellent unrestored condition with original surfaces throughout.

Paint blocks Fleur-de-lys and maker marked, part used

Cut glass bottles with removable stoppers

Nesting cut glass water bowls

Ceramic pallet, mixing block, round dishes with lids and square dishes,some chipped as shown, no cracks

etc. etc.

12" or 305mm wide, weight 3552 grams.

A fine example from the Regency Period.
