Alexander George Antiques Ltd. has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
Circa 1740.

Entirely decorated in traditional chinoiserie motifs with finely detailed landscapes, and pagodas, executed in gold against a rich, dark lacquer background.
Superb, with remarkable preservation of both the caddy and canisters.

The interior reveals compartments lined with what appears to be the original vibrant green silk velvet, housing the original lacquer canisters.
This tea caddy is not only a functional piece but also a work of art that reflects the elegance and sophistication of the Georgian period.
