The lid inset with eleven titled woods comprising; 'Birk of Aberfeldie, Planted by Queen Mary, Bush aboon Traquair, Elderslie Yew, Oak of Torwood, Birk of Invermay, Trysting Tree, Broom of Cowdenknows, Oak of Albway Kirk, Polwart Thorn, Queen Mary's Yew'.
The base has a transfer 'Auld Lang Syne', words and music in wreath of thistles, slightly worn. The box is stamped vertically inside the lid 'D. Craig, Helensburgh'.
It measures 9cm w x 6cm d x 2.5cm h.
