A superb example of an 18th chinoiserie Longcase Clock, by Edward Aldy, of Lincoln, the case is painted with faux tortoiseshell, and chinoiserie decoration, giving a wonderful orange-gold patina overall, brass face with elaborate spandrels, gilt-metal mounts, silvered dial, Roman numerals, 246cm high, 48.5cm wide
