Antique Treen Spherical String Box

19th century
Description

This is a lovely  C19th spherical lignum vitae string box. On the top is a small hole where the string/twine is pulled out from, there is also a small cutter blade, still present, where the string can be cut.The box unscrews in the centre and stands well on three ball feet. A very tactile piece.

The box measures approx 8cm h x 7cm w.
