A pretty and solidly made, 8'' dial clock.
The 8 day duration, gut fusee movement with screwed and pinned pillars, Anchor Recoil escapement and a substantial pendulum with a brass-faced bob.
Behind an 8'' diameter, flat, painted iron dial with original paintwork, outer divided minute track and Roman hour numerals. The hands are blued steel, the hour hand being ''spade'' design. Behind a hinged brass bezel with a sight ring and flat glass.
Contained in a solid mahogany case. The one-piece and pegged dial surround has a convex moulded edge. The back box has a removable access door to the right and a latched and hinged curved regulation door within the curved bottom.
I particularly like these pretty little clocks, they are substantial and attractive with a full-size fusee movement snugly fitting within the back box.
Dimensions: 10 1/2'' wide x 10 1/2'' high x 5 1/2'' deep.
Condition: Incredibly original. The fully working movement has been historically maintained and
...retains its original lacquer. The case and all 4 pegs are original and in beautiful French polished condition and importantly, the dial has all of its original paintwork including the numerals; the minute track is a little worn in areas and the base paint has a few minor chips - nothing detrimental to its appearance or value. The brass bezel locks with its tab and retains old lacquer and the sight ring which appears to be zinc has discoloured. All in all, it is a pretty and highly original little clock.
Price: The price will include a complete overhaul and lengthy guarantee.
