FAQs

Dram glasses were small drinking vessels popular in the 18th century, specifically designed for consuming small, strong measures of spirits such as whisky or gin.

These pieces were typically crafted from lead crystal or soda glass, often featuring hand-blown bodies shaped by pontil marks and decorated with wheel engraving or diamond-point etching.

Authentic examples often display a rough pontil scar on the underside, tiny air bubbles trapped within the metal, wear scratches consistent with age, and characteristic thickness or tool marks typical of pre-industrial production.

Antique glassware adds a layer of history and tactile texture when displayed inside glass-fronted cabinets, open shelving, or styled carefully on bar carts.

Wash pieces gently by hand using lukewarm water and mild detergent; never submerge in hot water or place in a dishwasher, and avoid using abrasive cloths.
